Exploring Dongdaemun - Trip to Seoul Day 6 (Part 1)

Well, I had a nice blog post all written up and when I went to post it my internet decided to delete it all instead. I don't feel like rewriting it all. I'll just make small, snippy synopses in place of my beautifully written prose. Also, I hate the internet.

This is a sign. It made me laugh. Laugh at this coffee, waffle, muffin shop sign before you read the rest of this post. It is funny.

We took a subway to Dongdaemun Design Plaza, which is totally gorgeous and amazing. Also totally crazy to think about how they built it. It's the world's largest atypical architecture.

We also looked at a palace in the middle of a city. The Heunginjimun Gate. It was really pretty and impressive. I like the fact that South Korea just said "Fuck it, this palace is already here. Let's just fuckin' build some shit around it. Why not?" And built cities and shopping centers around their historical landmarks.

We also ate some food. My first Korean hot pot. It was delicious as fuck. I want to eat ALL the Korean hot pots now. We walked down some alleys, I bought some mittens and looked at some stuff. It was good. There were adorable bunnies and hedgehogs and I want them all. Look! More photos!

So, there will be a part 2 of my 6th day of adventures involving the IFC Mall, but I don't think I have the mental capacity to write anything any more tonight. I hope you liked this shittily written blog post about Dongdaemun. Hopefully the photos made up for it.
